About Us
I’m a Maine native who’s always loved exploring new places—whether it’s hiking trails, small towns, or cities across the ocean. I’ve worked seasonal jobs in Montana, Alaska, and Washington, and spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Now I’m traveling the U.S. in a 22-foot skoolie that my boyfriend, Charlie, converted himself. We’re working in California for the summer and taking time to explore the country along the way. Postcards From is where I share pieces of the journey—our stops, trails, and everyday life on the road.
Our Bus: Acadia
Our home on wheels is a 1999 Ford E450 7.3L skoolie named Acadia. We found it in Georgia and drove it up to Maine in October 2023. Charlie started full-time work on converting it in September 2024, and by April 2025, we were ready to hit the road. Acadia is fully equipped with all the amenities of a home—a shower, stove, electricity, and more—making it the perfect base for our travels.
